No Vaccine Needed For Travel To Turkey In 2021

If you’re planning a summer holiday for 2021, it looks like Turkey is keen to welcome you.

Turkish officials have announced that no vaccination certificates will be required for international travellers entering the country, with only a negative PCR test result required.

If you’re worried about the chanced of contracting Covid-19 while in Turkey, the government has already started a priority vaccination program for hospitality workers. This includes those in the hotel and tourist facilities industry.

As of April 24th 2021, a total of 20,775,790 vaccination doses have been administered across the country.

In addition, tourists visiting Turkey are offered a special insurance package, from just €15 (approximately £12), which covers Covid-19 related expenses such as treatment, medication and emergency care costs that may be incurred if visitors are taken to a state-owned or private hospital during their stay in Turkey.

The Covid-19 Accommodation Support Insurance also guarantees to cover any extra accommodation expenses that may be necessary during the trip, following the issuance of a medical report requiring them to be kept under supervision in a hotel.

Turkey is one of the most popular summer travel destinations in Europe. in fact, two and a half million British tourists visited Turkey in 2019, with many flocking to the areas around Bodrum, Izmir and Antalya.

The Mediterranean country offers a fascinating blend of history, culture, fantastic weather, incredible food and fun activities, making it a very tempting choice for many. There are a number of UK based firms offering deals for travel to Turkey, including On The Beach and Last Minute. And, with the tourism industry looking to make up for lost time thanks to the devastating effects of Covid-19, there could be some incredible deals waiting for those willing to make the trip.
